What? Google are fiddling again....

I have just spent a frustrating 1/2 hour, trying to upgrade my blog to the 'new' look......I wish google would remember that most of us are just users not computer science graduates!

Flu jab time

Sean and I got our regular flu jabs on Monday. No sign of the swine flu vaccine yet though. Nurse Pat is very good and promises to let us know as soon as possible.
Sean gets the jab and is absolutely fine. I feel rotten for at least 2 days, must be age!
It's his lordship's birthday tomorrow, he'll be 23 but is telling everyone he is 42. Who knows why!! Found out today that he shares his birthday with Simon Cowell.
Gina, Loretta, the Barnes' and Graeme are coming round for cake tomorrow evening, should be fun! Will post photos on Thursday...

So much for the recession....

Surprise....! The Barnes' popped in yesterday evening.
Haven't seen them for a few weeks. Eugene started his new job a month ago - he's working at the same company as Graeme - and Linzi started a part time job this week. She's office administrator for an American company making microchips. Sounds like she's on her own with an office full of computer geeks. How fab that they are both working. Linzi is on contract till end of November, but it sounds like a trial period. Let's hope it continues.
Wow - everyone is working! So much for the recession....

There is no such thing as a free lunch!

I have just been caught by one of those insidious sights that spring up all over the place!

Haven't we all fancied being a mystery shopper? I clicked on that ad that keeps appearing on facebook, this took me straight to a web page discussing how easy it is to make money using a famous search engine! Oh, they make it sound so simple, pay us only $1.90 and get started....

I don't think so....!!

How many people read through the terms and conditions? And of course I didn't, next thing I get a login and password and at the bottom of the page in small print - 'This is a 7 day trial and then you will be billed monthly for $79.90 for use of this website' ......huh!

Fortunately it was fairly easy to cancel, but I had to phone the USA to do this, so it will have cost me the $1.90 plus an international call, but that's the price for being stupid!
